Same is the pattern for faces – landscapes of the soul – and eye expressions, distressed, like wells which are probing us and are all along familiar and queer. It doesn’t deal with recognising somebody, but to recognise oneself, to recognise fraternity amongst a suffering humanity, fragility and cruelty – things we all share, one explaining the other perhaps.
